ASSIST
Most assist trainings focus on how to assist. Beyond Technique™ focuses on how to decide.
Most yoga teachers have been taught where to put their hands.
Far fewer have been taught how to decide whether their hands belong there in the first place.
Many teachers leave their 200-hour training with little practical instruction on assisting. Others learn techniques without learning the decision-making process behind them.
As a result, teachers often wonder:
• Should I assist?
• How do I know if it's helping?
• What if the student doesn't want touch?
• What alternatives do I have?
• What if doing less is actually better?
Beyond Technique™ was created to answer those questions.

Can't Make It to Missouri?
Professional continuing education for yoga teachers who want to deepen their teaching with practical tools, thoughtful reflection, and real-world application.
You don't have to miss the opportunity to keep growing simply because you can't attend in person.
I'm currently creating an online edition of Beyond Technique designed specifically for self-paced learning. While the in-person training offers live discussion, practice labs, and community, the online experience will allow you to learn from anywhere, revisit lessons as often as you need, and integrate the material into your teaching at your own pace.
The curriculum will follow the same philosophy that guides every Beyond Technique training: helping yoga teachers develop sharper observation skills, more intentional cueing, ethical decision-making, and greater confidence supporting real students in real classes.
