The Life That’s Already Here

The Life That’s Already Here

A Savasana Meditation

Allow your body to settle into stillness.

Let the floor rise up to meet you.

Let your muscles soften. Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.

You don’t need to hold yourself up right now.

Take a slow breath in through the nose.

And exhale gently out of the mouth.

Again. Inhale.

And exhale.

Notice what it feels like to arrive here after effort.

After movement. After choosing to show up for yourself today.

There is something quietly powerful about that.

And before the mind rushes toward what’s next…

before it starts making lists or replaying conversations…

Pause here for just a moment and recognize this life you are living.

Not the perfect version of it. Not the curated version.

But the real, honest one.

The messy one. The beautiful one.

The unfinished one.

Take a moment to feel gratitude for your body.

Not because it looks a certain way. Not because it performs perfectly.

But because despite everything it has carried… it still wakes up each day, trying again.

Your legs carried you here.

Your lungs kept breathing for you.

Your heart kept beating through every joy and every heartbreak you thought might break you open for good.

There is wisdom in that.

Maybe gratitude today is not loud. Maybe it is not some overwhelming feeling of bliss.

Maybe it is quieter than that.

Maybe gratitude is simply recognizing:

You are still here.

Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming.

Bring awareness to the people who have supported you.

The ones who reminded you who you were when you forgot.

The strangers who offered kindness. The friendships that felt like exhaling.

The moments that made life feel lighter again.

Let yourself feel thankful for the tiny things we often rush past.

Warm coffee.

A deep breath.

A good laugh.

Music that understands you.

Sunlight through a window.

A body that can move.

A moment of peace in the middle of chaos.

Life is rarely perfect.

But even here, there is still something worth noticing.

Something worth appreciating.

So take another full breath in.

And as you exhale, imagine softening your grip on what is missing in your life long enough to honor what is already here.

Not everything in your life needs to be resolved for gratitude to exist.

Two things can be true at once.

You can still be healing… and deeply grateful.

You can still be figuring things out… and deeply grateful.

You can still want more for yourself… and be deeply grateful.

Let that land.

Inhaling and exhaling…

I gently invite you to feel the quiet fullness of enoughness, even if only for this moment.

Stay here for a few breaths more and stay still.

And before we conclude this class, thank yourself.

For showing up.

For trying.

For continuing.

And as you proceed with the rest of your day, carry this gratitude with you,

not as pressure to be positive… but as a reminder to stay awake to the life that is already happening.
